Blood Donation Programme
A really big thank you from WONDERWorks to all our friends and supporters, both men and women, who came to our Support Centre to donate yesterday – you’re all amazing!
The Nepal Red Cross has a strict screening process, taking into account factors such as weight, age, medications, menstruation and blood pressure – so many of those who couldn’t donate had brought along their friends and family members to take their place. In total sixty-seven caring people registered to donate and we were able to contribute forty-three units to the blood bank.
The atmosphere was wonderful, with everyone helping each other by guiding them to seats, bringing snacks, taking photos and offering encouraging smiles. We feel both proud and happy to have marked International Women’s Day, in such a positive way.
