Dressing gown making workshop

Last week WONDERWorks ran a workshop to teach five of our tailors how to make dressing gowns. The workshop was free but each participant provided their own fabric. With help from Suja, our tailoring instructor, they started out by making a pattern based on their own measurements and then, over two days, carefully completed their gowns.

Once our tailors learn to make the dressing gowns perfectly they are able to earn extra income by sewing them for us to sell at Open Days, Christmas Fairs and so on. The ladies receive a fair price for making the gowns and any profit goes towards future training.
