WONDERWorks has helped three different families (sisters, mother and daughter, aunt and niece) to set up these Khaja Ghars in Kathmandu. They offer snacks such as momos, which are a kind of local dumpling, curry and noodles. All three businesses have made adequate profit to support their owners.

The young lady owner of this coffee shop (at far back) has chosen to set up her new business on the outskirts of Kathmandu, allowing her cheaper rent and more space.  She tells us she likes the village and has already made friends, one of whom she employs to help her.  Her goal is to earn enough to allow her young son, who currently lives in her home village, to live with her.
