Open House Coffee Morning

Many thanks to those who supported our Open House Coffee Morning  at Maxine’s on Wednesday, 12th June, to raise funds for WONDERWorks.

We had a steady stream of ladies calling in from 10am to 2pm to enjoy a chat, freshly brewed coffee or tea and a fantastic selection of beautiful home-baked cakes, prepared and decorated specially for the occasion, by Maxine and Sue.

There was much interest in the new Nepalese handicrafts what we had on display, along with our attractive charity cards, but the biggest sellers were the cakes themselves.  Any concerns that we had over estimated numbers were soon put to rest, as we sold them by the box full!  We’re certain that there were smiles all around in many households that day, when husbands and children came home to find such wonderful treats!
