Tailoring students ready to advance

Our ladies have been having a lot of fun showing off some of the beautiful outfits they’ve made during their tailoring course – and they look amazing

They’re coming towards the end of their Basic Tailoring Course and will soon be starting on the Advanced Course. They started out in May with simple pot holders and baby clothes and are now already able to make kurthas (with different neck lines) attractive house dresses, sari petticoats, pleated school skirts – and, of course, cloth sanitary pads for Project Dignity. On the advanced course they’ll learn how to draft and make more complicated designs, such as blouses and gowns.

We’re very proud of them! They’ve come a long way in such a short time.
