Talk on Sexual Health

Many thanks to Ms Barsha Poudel and Ms Neela Maharjan for sharing their time and expertise with us during their health talk at the Support Centre this afternoon. Explaining that ‘Sexual Health’ is about much more than just sex, they covered topics such as gender bias, harassment at the workplace, what constitutes rape within a marriage, Nepali law and punishment for sexually related crimes and why women should speak out and stand up for women’s rights. There was a great deal of lively discussion throughout the class and there’s no doubt that the more than thirty ladies who attended now have much to think about.
