WONDERWorks hosts course for village tailors

WONDERWorks had the pleasure of hosting two village tailors at our centre last week, who had come all the way from Sindhuli district. They are being sponsored by Smiles Nepal to learn how to make our sanitary pads and distribution bags. The plan is for them to set up a small business back home, selling the pads to the 1,200 strong women’s cooperative they belong to. We provided the course in the hope that the tailors will teach other tailors back home and so that more women in the district will have ongoing access to washable sanitary pads.
